It's always exciting to read a good, entertaining book that is actually fact-filled and gives you useful information. Natalie Angier is brilliant! In her book titled, Woman, An Intimate Geography; you hardly know that you are absorbing a lot of information about chemistry and chromosomes and the way your body really works!
Real information, presented with a lovely twist of humor and explanations for quirky behavior you never understood before. At least, at last, some insight.
For instance, for all time, I have thought about or wrote about or believed in the great bond of all women. I still believe in it, it is so strong; yet Angier presents the facts about genes and chromosomes that basically say something else.
Chromosomally, sp? A boy child has more of his mother's chromosomes in his body than he does of his father. And, he has more of his mother's chromosomes than his sister does!
